Designed around a fusion of cat and owl themes, it embodies a charming blend of elegance, magic, and playfulness, making it one of the most eye-catching pets of this Update. Purrowl features a streamlined, owl-like body topped with a cat's head—complete with pointed ears, long whiskers, and large, expressive eyes—though notably, a distinct owl's beak replaces the standard cat's mouth. Its fur is predominantly brown on the exterior, with a lighter khaki shade lining the interior. Its body is plump and chubby, flanked by two small wings; when in flight, these wings must flap vigorously to lift its slightly corpulent frame. A pair of small feet allows it to perch on the ground just like an owl, while a long, fluffy cat's tail trails behind it—swaying fluidly and adorably whenever the creature spins around.

Neon Form

Once a player has acquired four Purrowls and raised them all to the Full Grown stage, they can visit the Neon Cave to fuse them into a single Neon Purrowl. Upon transformation, various patterns and features on Purrowl's body—including the markings on its face, its cheek blush, whiskers, inner-ear tufts, wing and tail patterns, and its feet—will begin to emit a vibrant blue glow, creating a striking visual contrast against its natural fur coloration. Furthermore, four Neon Purrowls can be combined to create a single Mage Neon Purrowl. While the glowing areas remain the same, they begin to cycle through a shifting spectrum of rainbow colors. The Purrowl's adorable appearance pairs perfectly with this luminous design, adding a delightful touch that truly enhances its charm.

Event

Purrowl was officially released as part of the Birthday Magic Update, an event designed to celebrate a significant milestone in Adopt Me! history: the game's ninth anniversary. To mark this occasion, the developers introduced a brand-new leveling reward system alongside this adorable new pet. Purrowl's cute and cheerful appearance serves as a symbol of both the celebratory joy of the event and the pet's status as a rare and highly prized collectible. The birthday update went live on April 17, 2026, introducing a specific reward mechanism: whenever players successfully level up a pet, they receive a "Birthday Gift." These gifts contain various items—such as Bucks, Potions, RGB Boxes, and Nursery Eggs—with Purrowl standing as the ultimate, top-tier reward available within this system.
